SPC Mechanical
SPC Mechanical started like many businesses with ambition and a dream. Through hard work discipline and lots of help along the way, that dream grew from two employees in Wilson, NC, to 300+ employees spread across the State of North Carolina. Those first two employees were the husband and wife team of Buren and Peggy Williford. Following his high school graduation in 1952,

Buren began his career in construction. In 1965, the Willifords decided to try it on their own. They opened a small office in Wilson, NC, and Southern Piping Company was born. Over the years, the project sizes grew as did the staff. Southern Piping expanded from Wilson adding other offices throughout North Carolina. Capabilities also grew starting with primarily pipefitting, HVAC and plumbing were added to the services offered. Southern Piping Company was rebranded to SPC Mechanical in 2015 to better reflect its primary focus.

SPC is currently in its second generation of leadership with sons Chris Williford, serving as the company President, and Mark Williford serving as Executive Vice President. Chris and Mark, along with dedicated and talented employees continue the legacy that was created in a small office in Wilson, NC, back in 1965.
